The Alberta Rural Connectivity Coalition (ARCC) is inviting individuals with experience and interest in rural connectivity and broadband issues to join our team.
The ARCC was developed to raise awareness of rural connectivity issues in Alberta, and provide advocacy and knowledge-sharing opportunities for communities looking to expand internet access to their residents and businesses. Through the organization of the annual Alberta Rural Connectivity Forum, joint submissions to government consultations, and hosting of informational webinars, ARCC has emerged as the leading champion for closing the digital divide in Alberta.
The ARCC volunteer steering committee is seeking members of the community to join its two new committees: Policy and Planning.
The Policy committee will work together to identify and build advocacy efforts, including responding to government consultations that impact the digital divide.
The Planning committee will support the organization of the Alberta Rural Connectivity Forum, as well as other learning sessions, including webinars, panels, and round tables highlighting connectivity funding and technology opportunities.
Further information on the roles and responsibilities for each committee can be found in the terms of reference:
Interested individuals are asked to complete the expression of interest form by June 30, 2023. Selected committee members will be announced in Fall 2023.
